1. Scope & Application
This Privacy Policy governs all data collection, processing, and retention activities conducted by S.L.E. LLC ("SLE," "we," "our," or "the Company") through its website, contact forms, and nationwide logistics consulting operations. SLE is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and provides freight logistics consulting and dispatch coordination services to clients across all 48 contiguous United States. By accessing our platform or submitting any inquiry, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described herein. This policy applies to all users including freight brokers, licensed motor carriers, shippers, owner-operators, and general site visitors regardless of the state in which they are located.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two categories:
Operational & Identity Data: Carrier MC/DOT authority numbers, USDOT numbers, corporate entity names, primary contact names, business email addresses, phone numbers, physical business addresses, and insurance certificate details provided during onboarding or consultation intake.
Technical & Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type and version, device identifiers, pages visited, session duration, referral URLs, and anonymized behavioral data collected via performance analytics cookies. We do not collect payment card data directly; all financial transactions are processed through PCI-compliant third-party processors.
3. How We Use Your Information
Collected information is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Facilitating freight logistics consulting engagements across all 48 contiguous states
- Verifying carrier authority, insurance, and FMCSA compliance status
- Communicating load opportunities, rate confirmations, and dispatch updates
- Processing consultation inquiries and responding to contact form submissions
- Improving website performance and user experience analytics
- Meeting legal obligations under applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Illinois
- Preventing fraud, unauthorized access, and system abuse
4. Data Security
All commercial freight transaction histories, rate confirmations, carrier onboarding records, and user credentials are secured using enterprise-grade encryption both in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access to raw database frameworks is restricted exclusively to authorized SLE logistics personnel operating under confidentiality agreements. We conduct periodic security audits and maintain access logs to detect and respond to unauthorized activity. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected parties in accordance with the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530) and any other applicable state breach notification laws in the states where affected individuals reside.
5. Third-Party Disclosures
Data is transmitted only to the following categories of authorized parties, and only to the extent necessary for operational purposes:
- Licensed freight brokers holding valid FMCSA broker authority
- Verified motor carriers with active USDOT operating authority, operating in any of the 48 contiguous states
- Factoring service providers (e.g., TriumphPay) for invoice payment processing, under separate data processing agreements
- Compliance and safety monitoring platforms (e.g., FMCSA SAFER database, third-party SMS monitoring services)
- Legal counsel or government authorities when required by applicable federal or state law, court order, or regulatory mandate
We never sell, rent, license, or trade personal or operational data profiles to outside marketing firms, data brokers, or unaffiliated third parties for commercial purposes. For clarity, no mobile phone number, text-messaging opt-in, or SMS consent information is included in any of the disclosures described in this section; such data is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party or affiliate for any purpose, consistent with Section 12 below.
6. Interstate Operations & Multi-State Compliance
Because SLE provides consulting services to clients and carriers operating across all 48 contiguous United States, we acknowledge that individuals in certain states may have additional privacy rights under their state's laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). Residents of these states may have additional rights including the right to opt out of sale of personal data, the right to correct inaccurate data, and the right to appeal our response to a privacy request. 7. Data Retention
Operational records, including carrier profiles, load confirmations, and rate history, are retained for a minimum of three (3) years from the date of the last active engagement to satisfy applicable recordkeeping obligations under FMCSA regulations (49 C.F.R. Part 371) and general business records standards. Contact form inquiries that do not result in an active engagement are retained for twelve (12) months and then securely deleted. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8).
8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use essential session cookies required for website functionality and optional performance analytics cookies to improve user experience. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. You may manage or disable non-essential cookies at any time through your browser settings or via our Cookie Policy page. Disabling essential cookies may impair certain site functions.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our platform following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
12. SMS / Text Messaging Consent
By submitting your phone number through our contact form or during a consulting engagement, you expressly consent to receive text messages (SMS) from S.L.E. LLC at that number regarding your inquiry, consultation scheduling, load and dispatch coordination, and related account communications. Message frequency varies based on your engagement with us, and message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or request assistance by replying HELP. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of engaging our consulting services.
No mobile information, including phone numbers or SMS opt-in status, is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This consent is collected and retained separately from other website analytics data and is used solely to communicate with you regarding your inquiry.
